IITMAANA's mission is to:
- Provide a forum for exchange and interaction for alumni in North America, and alumni, students, and faculty of Indian Institute of Technology Madras in India and other parts of the world, fostering international friendship and understanding
- Engage in charitable activities that promote education including the promotion of educational objectives of current students and faculty, and alumni of Indian Institute of Technology Madras
