• What he is studying and what he wants to be
  I am a Third year B Tech Computer Science student.
• What he does
  I maintain my hostel's website, located at http://hostels.iitm.ac.in/mandakini.
• What he sees his Role as the Alumni Affairs Secretary to be
  My main aim for this academic year is to develop our hostel website which due to various reasons hasn't been developed systematically. Apart from that, our database of alumni from our hostel is not that great and it has to be revamped. So another priority i have as an Alumni Affairs Secretary is to improve the alumni database of our hostel.
  Once this is done, then we can start spreading the word and bringing alumni closer to the hostel, since i'm sure the 4-5 years they've spent here would probably be the most memorable years of their life and that is a period which they would cherish for the rest of their lives.
• What he expects his other interests are

• His perception of Alumni
  Also, looking at it from the other side, its very important for the students to spend some quality-time with the alumni to get a feel of the industry, what it expects, how have their experiences been etc etc. This would give a clear perspective to the students about the world that lies beyond the walls of IIT.
• What he would like to see happen in the Alumni Association with respect to Interaction with the Students
  As far as our expectations from the Alumni Association goes, as mentioned above, we need some amount of help to build our database of alumni and this means getting info about them and a way to contact them so as to keep them informed about events of the institute and more specifically, our hostel. Having said that, i feel they've done a wonderful job so far in helping alumni be in touch with the institute in an effective way. Kudos ! 
• His Other Comments
  Personally, i think this is a great move to bring all the alumni of our institute under a common platform that is extremely easy to access. I'm sure this new website would be a great success. Thanks for making this happen, Bob !
